How PushRank keeps account emails and newsletters apart

PushRank publishes SEO pages for its users while they sleep. It uses Lumail for both the emails tied to a user's account and the news it sends to its list, each from its own domain.

PushRank is SEO on autopilot. You connect your site and Google Search Console, and it builds a plan ranked by impact, writes the pages, optimizes the ones close to the top three and publishes the safe changes itself. It tracks your Google rankings and whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini cite you, and it keeps your llms.txt in sync.

The method behind it comes from Souleymane, an SEO consultant whose client sites add up to more than 300,000 cumulative SEO clicks and 13 million Google impressions, from real Search Console exports shown on the PushRank homepage.

"Traffic that stays, even when the ads stop."

An agent works in the background, so email is how users know

PushRank sells a 7-day free trial, then a monthly subscription. Most of the product runs when the user is not looking: the agent finds an opportunity, writes a page and publishes it.

Work nobody sees does not keep a trial user, so the product has to tell people what it did. That is the job PushRank gives Lumail: one account for every email a user receives, from the ones tied to their PushRank account to the news sent to the whole list.

Account emails

The first stream is account email: the messages a user needs to use PushRank at all. They go out from account.pushrank.io.

These emails have to arrive every time. A user who cannot sign in or who misses a message about their trial does not come back to read a newsletter.

Newsletters and campaigns

The second stream is news: product updates and campaigns to the PushRank list. They go out from news.pushrank.io.

This is where PushRank talks to users who are not in the app that day: what the product can do now, why SEO and AI visibility matter, and a reason to come back to the trial. In the same way that PushRank's SEO pages keep bringing traffic after the ads stop, the list keeps working after a launch post has left the feed.

Why two domains instead of one

Mailbox providers judge each domain on the mail it sends. A campaign that gets fewer opens or a few more complaints stays on news., and the emails on account. keep landing. If the two shared a domain, one weak newsletter could send account emails to spam.

Each sending domain is verified separately in Lumail, with its own DKIM key and its own custom MAIL FROM, so each one builds its own reputation. The root domain pushrank.io is verified as well.

What you can copy

You do not need an SEO agent to use the same setup:

  1. Split your mail by job before your first send. Use one subdomain for account email and one for marketing. Adding them later means warming new domains while your users wait.
  2. Name subdomains after what they carry. account. and news. tell you, your team and your users which stream an email came from.
  3. Verify everything from the start. DKIM and a custom MAIL FROM on each domain. Add DMARC when you are ready.
  4. If your product works in the background, say so by email. An agent that publishes on its own needs an email that shows the user what it did.
